Hello Kitty is made by the industrious folks at Sanrio who slap a Hello Kitty anywhere there is demand. And apparently, there is a demand for Hello Kitty personal massagers? Babeland: My Sexy French Lingerie Recommendations; A-Listed! (PHOTOS)

Babeland: Sexy French Lingerie; Peepshow Princess Panty + Le Petit Secret Lingerie A-List Recommendations
Passionista Principle: Life is too short not wear party shorts.
Hey Rockstar Passionistas,

A few women came to me around Valentine’s Day whispering that their lingerie needs weren’t being met. They wanted something more risque than Victoria’s Secret but felt too overwhelmed with the choices at Fredrick’s of Hollywood.
Here I am, your personal Lifestyle Passionista, love journalist and sexy product concierge to the rescue.

Have you considered Babeland for your lingerie needs? Yeah, Babeland, the woman-friendly sex shop that we visited some time ago. [Babeland tour video.] After all, the sexpert owners Claire Cavanah and Rachel Venning wrote the book MoreGasm: Babeland’s Guide to Mind Blowing Sex.

Yes, Babeland, your favorite spot for all of the toys that go buzz also carries select lingerie items. Delicious lingerie is one of my favorite things on the planet. Here are 3 inexpensive but super fun lingerie looks from Babeland guaranteed to steam up your days and nights.

These are perfect for divorce gifts, bridal shower gifts, breakup gifts and “girl, just because gifts” for you or someone who needs more sexy fun in her life.

Babeland Passionista Lingerie Recommendation
The Peepshow Princess Panty, $26.00
(includes lingerie plus size…)
Love this~ What your love life needs is a sexy black lace panty with a huge booty accentuating bow. The Peepshow Princess Panty knickers are high cut so that your butt hangs out of the bottom and then of course they’re crotchless. Something for everyone! These panties (for me anyway) are not lingerie the kind of pretty-sexy-hot undies that you wear everyday for yourself. You wear them for your personal enjoyment and the fun of a partner.

Peepshow Princess Panty Bonus: You know that I am a sucker for great packaging. The Babeland Peepshow Princess Panty comes in a really nice gift-ready box made to resemble a dresser drawer. Pretty, pretty pretty!

Babeland Passionista Lingerie Recommendation

Le Petit Secret Lingerie Bra & Panty, $32.00

This next lingerie selection is from the barely there variety. Actually they are not so much lingerie as frilly lacy elastic bands built to accentuate your booty and breasts. I personally call the Le Petit Secret Lingerie panties – the panty-less panties and the Le Petit Secret Lingerie Bra – the bra-less bra. Babeland calls it the lingerie that you can keep on during sex.

The Le Petit Secret Lingerie will definitely be a welcome treat in any boudoir. Trust mama! They were created by French lingerie company Maison Close — and the French know. If you want to purchase the bra separately it is available for $18.00 and buying the panty separately from Babeland.com costs $16.00.

P.S. All photos taken by me at The Passionista Penthouse. Don’t steal my pics!
Full disclosure: Yay! Babeland sent me these lovely lingerie pieces as a review gift because I fell so in love with them. I also have more Babeland toy reviews coming up and I’ll be teaching a “Passionista 101″ there when I make room in the yummy goddess calendar. Whoo Hoo! You’ll see these Babeland goodies all in 3D when “Abiola on LSD: Love, Sex, Dating and Drama” premieres on March 9th.

Abiola's 'Essence Magazine' Love & Sex Tips PLUS Video Blog from Damali Abrams

My Essence Magazine Passion Party Love & Sex Tips PLUS Video Blog from Damali Abrams
“Abiola inhales a scented bath salt which includes plumeria, a naturally occurring attractant.”
Passionista Principle: Nobody “needs” sex toys. That’s why they’re called toys.
February is the designated “Month of Love.” Last year I celebrated Love Month (Valentine’s Day + Black History for me!) by posing for the Sex Bloggers Calendar for a good cause. More on that in the coming days. This year I am celebrating the Month of Love by being in Essence Magazine’s Valentine’s Day issue. They created a Passion Party for us to discuss women’s pleasure and sex toys– and every Passion Party needs an official Lifestyle Passionista, right?

Essence (1-year auto-renewal)And the sweetest VDay gift of all, my sister, Damali Abrams, an artist, writer, performer, filmmaker, vlogger, womanist activist you should know, made a Video Blog about me being in Essence Magazine. Check that out below.

Damali actually had me thinking - what if you wanted to know a couple of the tips I shared in Essence but had no inclination, time, funds or racial basis for picking up the magazine? Well then, this is for you.

In the last Essence post I shared bonus sex toys tips based on the article, below I am sharing some of the actual quotes that I said in the article.

Top Passion Tips I Shared in Essence Magazine
1) About how to help your partner step up his game: I say, “Give encouragement when he hits the spot. A little “Yeah! Yeah!” at the right time can turn your pleasure into a teachable moment.”
2) About not needing sex toys: I say, “Nobody needs them. That’s why they’re called toys.”
3) About White Chocolate Passion Powder: I say, “I love this idea. It makes sex fun, like a game.”
4) About sex toys for singles vs couples: I say, “We must understand that we’re sexual beings even by ourselves. We shouldn’t be waiting for somebody to come along and complete us”.
5) About the discrete mini lipstick vibrator: I say, “If you’re a mom this is perfect for you. Your kids will never go near this.”
6) About single women dating too much: I say, “Date promiscuously; love monogamously. Dating someone doesn’t mean you’re having sex with them!”

Do you have any passion tips? If so, please share them below!

Meet Married to Rock Josie Doll Maker Sinthetics’ Matt Krivicke

Exclusive Interview: Josie Stevens’ Married to Rock Sinthetics Love Doll Creator Matt Krivicke (VIDEO)
Sinthetics Doll created and Photographed by Matt Krivicke.

Passionista Principle: To each his or her own.

Matt Krivicke plays with dolls for a living but it’s not what you think. He is the creator of Sinthetics Dolls, which were featured on the E! reality show Married to Rock

On Episode 3 of Married to Rock Hello Kitty obsessed rock wife Josie Stevens creates a life sized, anatomically correct sex doll as a gift for her rocker guitarist husband Steve Stevens. Josie wanted the “Josie doll” to keep hubbie Steve company on the road with Billy Idol. Wowza!

Doc Johnson Belladonna Love Doll Adult Sex Toy Kit
Love Doll For Sale!

I have to confess that the whole anatomically correct life sized doll thing kind of creeped me out after seeing movies like Lars and the Real Girl which co-starred a RealDoll. Then I had a great conversation with Sinthetics Doll creator Matt Krivicke, creator of the Sinthetics Josie doll, and learned that Matt is a regular guy, not a serial killer making sex dolls in a garage in the mountains. Matt’s human breathing girlfriend Bronwen even helps him to make up and dress the synthetic Sinthetics Dolls.

Abiola Abrams: Matt! Nice meeting you. I’ve never met a life sized, anatomically correct Love Doll maker before. Forgive my bluntness but I need to know. Do you have a doll fetish, Matt?

Matt Krivicke: I do not have a doll fetish. I do however, think the dolls are really cool. I have always looked at them as primarily art over sexual function. Sinthetics prefers referring to them from now on as “manikins” to try to reduce the stigma that is often applied to the dolls. People hear that I make “dolls” and they say “wow, that is creepy”. I have asked why they consider it creepy. Just because it is a doll?

Abiola: Interesting. Tell me more.

Matt: People hear that term and apply a definition to it whereas when referred to as manikins, perhaps they will not be so quick to judge. Maybe if the term manikins doesn’t fly we could just go with action figures! That was always my speed growing up, I played with all sorts of action figures from GI Joes to Star Wars figures.
These [Synthetics] dolls certainly have a lot more “action” in them though than the ones I used to play with. I don’t know though, whatever they are called I feel comfortable. I have developed a pretty thick skin over the years and I don’t much care what others think, as long as I am able to keep making people happy with my art, I am really quite lucky.

Abiola: Now you were kind enough to explain to me your history with RealDoll vs. Sinthetics. I have to say legally that we have not asked them for their side of the story but Josie Stevens on Married to Rock looked super happy with your Love Doll work. Matt, are you positioning Sinthetics Dolls as a competitor for the more well-known love doll company RealDoll?

Matt: Simply, Yes… more than that though. My personal aim has always been to make cool things. I would like to take this technology and try to apply it to as many things as possible. I see that there are markets that no other doll company is even thinking about. I am very interested in seeing where else we can go with it. I hope I can convince the owners that there is more to this product than just making love dolls. They trust my vision though which is why they came to me so I think the sky is the limit. Time will tell.

Abiola: Now, Matt, I love that Josie Stevens was bold and crazy enough to have a sex doll of herself made for her rock and roll man, Steve. Is Josie the only woman you know of who bought a sex doll for her mate?

Matt: There have been many people who buy the dolls for their partners, either as collectibles or for the non-competitive third play partner to spice up the relationship. I have seen it all and I am rarely surprised at the reasons we are given by clients purchasing the dolls.

Abiola: What was it like to work with Josie Stevens on the love doll?

Sinthetics Doll by Matt Krivicke
Matt: Josie is about as fun as they get. She was really a blast to get to know, super cool and laid back and she was really easy to work with.

Abiola: Do you like Josie’s E! Network reality show Married to Rock?

Matt: My girlfriend and I watch every episode of Married to Rock, we love every minute of it.

Abiola: Awesome. So what’s the price range of your adult dolls, Matt, and how do people order?

Matt: The Sinthetics are $5,500 each plus shipping and any special upgrades/options the client may ask for. Usually the lead time on these products is about 8-10 weeks because [the dolls] are all individually made to order. The client selects all the options they want, sends a deposit to get into the queue.

When the doll is about to go into final production, they send the remaining balance and the doll will ship in about 3-4 weeks from that time. It’s a very interactive process of selecting the doll options so we typically get to know our clients quite well.

Abiola: Anything else you want my readers of The Passionista Playbook to know about the world of love and sex dolls for men?

Matt: I think my whole opening statement probably covers it! I guess the other thing worth noting is that my girlfriend and I consider ourselves members of the doll community. We both like dolls; Bronwen collects dolls of all sizes, and we really enjoy the clients we deal with, many of whom become friends.

Sinthetics Doll by Matt Krivicke
We consider the business to be a collaboration with the clients on individual art pieces. In this vein we also take the dolls out in public as often as we can to do photography, and we find that the general public is always receptive. We’ve never had a bad experience taking the dolls out and photographing them. If any of your readers have questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

Abiola: Thanks, Matt for graciously answering my questions about your lifelike love and sex dolls. It was a fun.

Readers, please note that Sinthetics Dolls are not to be confused with RealDoll. Read about Matt’s behind the scenes story about that here. To order a doll from Matt email him or visit his Sinthetics Dolls website. You may also want to read Married to Rock: Reality TV Love Lessons.
